Chapter 6 - A LETTER FROM A DEAD MANGrant opened the envelope.

Inside was a handwritten letter from Charles Whitmore.
The date was unmistakable.
Seven years earlier.
Charles wrote about a young woman named Audrey Bennett.
Grant's wife had been Audrey Bennett before marriage.
Grant looked at her when he returned to the hotel.
“You knew my father?”
Audrey stared at the letter.
Then her face went white.
“No.”
Grant believed her.
Which made the mystery worse.
Charles's letter explained that Audrey's late father, Thomas Bennett, had once been his closest business partner.
Together, they had created technology that eventually became the foundation of Whitmore Technologies.
But Thomas's name had disappeared from company history.
Grant's stomach turned.
The company he believed his father had built alone had another founder.
And Lenora knew.
The final paragraph was worse.
Charles admitted Thomas Bennett's family had been cheated out of ownership.
He had intended to correct it.
He died before he could.
Grant finally understood why Lenora feared Audrey.
May you like
She wasn't merely Grant's wife.
She was the daughter of the man whose stolen shares could threaten everything Lenora believed belonged exclusively to the Whitmore bloodline.
