The entire store held its collective breath, anticipating a brutal dismissal. Arthur Whitworth was known on Wall Street for destroying men twice his size without raising his voice. He stopped squarely in front of the sobbing girl. But he didn't yell. He didn't call for the guards. When he finally spoke, his voice was dangerously calm, a low, rumbling earthquake that echoed through the dead-silent boutique. "Why is my daughter crying?"
