A restaurant.
So he bought an old building downtown.
Claire thought he had lost his mind.
"You want to open a restaurant now?"
"I want to finish what we started."
She smiled.
"You really are crazy."
"Probably."
Months later, the restaurant opened.
Its name was simple:
LILY'S.
On opening night, Claire stood beside Julian beneath the glowing sign.
She cried.
Julian whispered:
"We finally made it."
She looked at him.
"No."
