Chapter 2 - A Wedding Built on SecretsJulian Cross stood at the altar beneath an enormous arrangement of white lilies.

He looked flawless in his black tuxedo.
But his hands were cold.
He kept staring toward the ballroom entrance.
Audrey noticed.
"Are you nervous?" she whispered when she reached him.
Julian forced a smile.
"Just overwhelmed."
But he wasn't overwhelmed by the wedding.
He was waiting for someone.
Someone who never came.
The ceremony continued.
Vows were exchanged.
Rings were placed on fingers.
Guests applauded.
But when Julian kissed Audrey, his eyes remained strangely distant.
Across the room, the maid in gray watched silently.
Then, just before leaving, she looked at Julian.
Their eyes met.
Julian froze.
For one terrible second, all the color drained from his face.
The maid turned away.
Audrey saw it.
"Who was that?"
Julian didn't answer.
"Julian."
"Nobody."
May you like
But Audrey knew immediately.
Nobody didn't make a man look like he'd just seen a ghost.
