He stopped at the doorway.
“Am I allowed inside?”

Kelly nodded.

I opened the door.
“For dinner.”
Luca smiled.
“Dinner is enough.”
It was.
Nobody pretended the past hadn't happened.
That was precisely why the evening worked.
After dinner, Luca stood beside Arthur’s photograph.
The old dollar remained inside his wallet.
“I finally figured out what Dad left me,” he said.
