Chapter 12 - The TrapVictor arranged a meeting at an abandoned theater.
He wanted Ethan.
Claire insisted on going with him.
Bennett warned them.
“It could be a trap.”
Ethan nodded.
“It is.”
“Then why go?”
“Because he believes we're afraid.”
Inside the theater, Victor appeared beneath the broken spotlight.
He applauded slowly.
“Michael would be proud.”
Ethan stared at him.
“You killed my father.”
Victor smiled.
“Your father killed himself by refusing to understand the rules.”
Claire stepped forward.
“You took my mother.”
“And you stole something from me.”
Claire's expression remained calm.
“What?”
“The evidence.”
Victor's men surrounded them.
Then the theater doors slammed shut.
Bennett's team entered from the rear.
The trap had been turned against its creator.
But Victor had anticipated that too.
Smoke filled the theater.
