Chapter 16 - A LETTER FROM DIANEOne spring morning, Lily received a letter.
It was from Diane.
Inside was a single photograph.
It showed the conservatory before everything happened.
On the back Diane had written:
Some doors are frightening because we don't know what's behind them.
Then:
Some doors are frightening because we do.
Lily folded the photograph carefully.
She kept it inside Grandma's old brass key box.
But beneath the photograph was something else.
A second key.
