Chapter 14 - THE SECRET IN THE FOUNDATIONJust when Graham believed the nightmare was over, construction workers discovered something beneath the foundation.
A sealed metal box.
Inside:
A second ledger.
Older than the first.
It contained transactions dating back decades.
The Bellamy empire was only one part of the story.
Several powerful families had participated.
But one name appeared repeatedly.
A name Graham had never heard.
Elias Vane.
Graham searched every database available to him.
Nothing.
No company.
No estate.
No public record.
As if the man had never existed.
Then his attorney found one photograph.
Elias Vane stood beside Daniel Voss.

And beside them was a young Marianne.
The date on the photograph was two years before Graham was born.
