No obvious connection to Moretti.
Sarah studied his photograph.
"He's too clean."
Nathan frowned.
"What does that mean?"
"People hiding something often work harder to appear ordinary."
They tracked Grant to a small apartment outside Newark.
But when the security team arrived—
He was gone.
The apartment had been emptied.
No furniture.
No photographs.
No fingerprints.
Only one object remained.
A children's drawing.
Two little boys holding hands beside a large black house.
Written beneath it were four words:
THE FATHER MUST FALL.
Nathan stared at the drawing.
Sarah felt a chill.
"This wasn't just about your empire."
