Chapter 18 - A Different WomanMonths later, Tiffany had changed.

Not completely.

Change was never that simple.

She still made mistakes.

She still occasionally caught herself judging people.

But now she noticed.

And when she noticed, she corrected herself.

She began volunteering at a community food bank on weekends.

She helped elderly customers at work.

She learned to say "thank you."

She learned to say "I'm sorry."

Most importantly, she learned that neither phrase made her smaller.

One evening, the dealership manager called her into his office.

"We're promoting you."

Tiffany stared.

"Me?"

"You've earned it."

She smiled.

"Thank you."

As she left the office, she stopped beside the janitor.

"Mr. Lewis?"

He looked up.

"Yes?"

"Thank you for showing me how hard everyone here works."

He smiled.

"You're welcome."

Tiffany walked away.

For the first time in her life, success didn't feel like being watched.

It felt like becoming someone worth trusting.
