Chapter 8 - The RecordingEvelyn received another anonymous message.
Tonight. 11:30 p.m. Parking garage beneath Whitmore Holdings. Come alone.
She almost ignored it.
Then she saw the attached photograph.
It showed Victoria meeting a man she had never seen before.
Evelyn went.
From inside her car, she watched Victoria hand the man an envelope.
She secretly recorded everything.
Then she heard a sentence that made her blood run cold.
"Once Alexander signs the transfer documents, the company belongs to us."
The man laughed.
"And the wife?"
Victoria smiled.
"She'll be gone before he realizes what happened."
Evelyn's hand covered her mouth.
She had the proof.
But someone was standing behind her car.
She turned.

A shadow moved.
