Chapter 11 - Running Out of TimeThe police evacuated Lily from the hospital.
Daniel was placed under protective supervision.
Margaret refused to leave her granddaughter.
But Victor Kane was still missing.
And someone was getting closer.
Officer Cole discovered another disturbing fact.
The hospital security cameras had been accessed remotely.
Someone had watched Lily's room.
Margaret looked at Daniel.
“Who has access?”
Daniel's face hardened.
“Only me.”
Officer Cole frowned.
“Think carefully.”
Daniel looked down.
Then his eyes widened.
“My old laptop.”
“What about it?”
“I gave it to Victor months ago.”
The room went silent.
If Victor still had access to Daniel's accounts, he might know everything.
Their location.
Their movements.
May you like
Their plans.
And possibly where Lily was.
